A Brand with a Passion For Conservation

In 1983, a young woman called Miriam Zacharia started a career focusing on wildlife conservation in Africa. In the 26 years that followed, Miriam touched many lives as she implemented a Community Based Approach to conservation and helped to write many of the wildlife laws and policies that are used in Tanzania today. She also successfully oversaw multinational organizations' work with rural communities in Tanzania to improve livelihoods through conservation. She was very successful in her work to conserve wetlands in Tanzania and different species of migratory water birds in Africa and in Europe.

However, in 2008 Miriam passed away in a plane accident en-route to Loliondo, Arusha where she was headed to launch a Community Based Conservation Project.

Miriam's work in conservation must continue. Our company founders started Blue Miri and Red Venus Company Limited (BMRV) to continue the efforts she started. We believe that our business activities will deliver results and grow the company. At the same time, we will honor Miriam's legacy by helping people in rural areas to get a better quality of education, by conserving Tanzania's wetlands and by protecting migratory water birds' habitats.

This is our goal: Excellency in business and conservation for the good of our communities.
